How To Measure Your Dog
To help you pick the right collar, harness or jacket for your dog requires just a few simple measurements. When measuring your dog use a flexible measuring tape or a piece of string (which you can then measure).
Neck
- Wrap the tape or string around the base of your dog’s neck (or the broadest part of their neck).
- You should allow for enough room to fit two fingers between the neck and the measuring tape (or string).
- For Sighthounds and other long necked breeds collars are worn higher so take the measurement where the collar would naturally sit, normally higher up the neck.
Length
- Measure from the base of the neck to the base of the tail (where the tail joins the body).
Chest
- Find the widest part of the torso, usually their ribcage and measure.
- You should allow for enough room to fit two fingers between the chest and the measuring tape (or string).
Note: The sizing details are outlined in each product description. If your dog is between sizes then you are best to pick the next size up.
